General Guidelines

Eligibility: The competition is open to all kids between the ages of 6-10 and 11-16 as two categories

Theme: "Save mother nature with art straight from your heart" and The artwork should be original and in response to the theme.

Submission Guidelines: Each participant can submit multiple artworks in different categories, and all should be submitted in a digital format via an email to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. including Full Name, Date of Birth and Contact number. The artwork should be accompanied by a brief description of the artist's inspiration and process.

Deadline: The deadline for submission will be 10th March 2023

Judging Criteria: The artwork will be judged on creativity and adherence to the theme.

Ownership: By submitting artwork, the participant agrees to give the competition organizers permission to reproduce and display their work in promotional materials and exhibitions.

Disqualification: Any artwork containing inappropriate or offensive content will be disqualified from the competition. The competition organizers reserve the right to cancel or amend the competition at any time.

Notification: Winners will be notified via email or phone and announced on the www.colombomba.com website and Colombo MBA Alumni social media channels.

Special guidelines for
A Drawing or A Painting
The art may be drawn or painted in pencil, pen, charcoal, crayon, pastel, watercolour, gouache, acrylics, oils, poster colour and collage preferably on an A3 paper

A Craftwork Project
The contestant should email photos of Craftwork from all angles(mandatory) to cover the whole work and a small video clip describing it (Optional)

An Essay or A Poem
Contestants are permitted to compose their essays or poems in either English, Sinhala, or Tamil languages.
The number of words for the age category 6-10 will be 200 - 300
The number of words for the age category 11-16 will be 500 - 600
